Worship with us this Sunday as the season of Lent continues to call us to repentance and spiritual renewal but with a dose of mercy.  In the fellowship time following the principal service, we serve simnel cake, a real treat if you've never had it before.  The church grants a taste of God's mercy in this penitential season with a Sunday in which our discipline is lightened.  In the Anglican tradition, it was often the day when young adults employed away from their homes could visit their mothers and bring them simnel cake.  Grant, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that we, who for our evil deeds to worthily deserve to be punished, by comfort of thy grace may mercifully be relieved; through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
