"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light." 1 St. Peter 2:9

"This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise." Isaiah 43:21

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John 4:24

Man was made to worship God and as such the worship of the Almighty is our chief duty as Christians.  St. Augustine of Hippo says "Thou, O Lord, hast made us for Thyself, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in Thee." (Confessions 1:1)
