LENT AT ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH WYNNEWOOD – 2026
SUNDAY SERVICES
There will be four services every Sunday during Lent: 7:30 am, Morning Prayer; 8:00 am, Holy Communion; 10:00 am, Holy Communion (March 1, 15, and 29) or Morning Prayer (February 22, March 8, and 22) and 5:00 pm, Said Evening Prayer with a short meditation from our own Timothy Broussard. Sunday worship is our fundamental obligation as Christians, for through it chiefly God unites us, and through us the world, to Himself!
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
We will once again have Stations of the Cross on Friday nights at 7:00 pm, beginning on February 20th. Each week we will meditate on our Lord’s Cross and Passion and finish with an address; this year the addresses will be delivered by Mr. Timothy Broussard.
LENTEN QUIET DAY
The Lenten Quiet Day will be held Saturday, February 21st. Please put this date on your calendar. We begin with Morning Prayer and Holy Communion in the Chapel at 8:00 am, followed by a light breakfast and three brief meditations by our leader Fr. Michael Fitzpatrick. Please bring a bagged lunch. We conclude with Evening Prayer at 2:00 pm.
WEDNESDAY FAMILY NIGHT AT 7:00 PM (From February 25th to April 1st)
Our yearly program of soup and bread suppers followed by a brief time of prayer and praise in the Parlor and then on to a video curriculum and discussion. This year we study the Apostles’ Creed using Bp. Robert Barron’s video series on the topic.
TENEBRAE
Tenebrae, meaning “Darkness”, is a service of psalms and lessons, which concludes dramatically in darkness. It is designed to bring home to us vividly Jesus’ torment in the Garden of Gethsemane, which will be remembered the next day on Maundy Thursday. This service will conclude our Wednesday Family Nights at 7:00 pm, April 1st.
